No Condemnation!

No Condemnation!

Good Evening Sweets,

Condemnation means punishment. We punish ourselves because we feel guilty about things we did in the past. For we were not designed to feel guilty or ashamed. One of the best ways to prevent guilt from thrusting upon us is by understanding that we did the best we could with the knowledge and resources that we had at the time. Always make decisions with good intentions and a pure heart.   If we do all of those things then we shall be free of any guilt. In essence it should prevent us from going down the road of guilt. For We cannot punish ourselves once we are in Jesus Christ because it is contradictory! Once we accept Jesus we are free from all types of bondage (sin)! Whenever, we punish ourselves we are putting ourselves back in bondage! Also, when we punish ourselves and others we are taking Gods place. We are saying we are our own God, the God of others, and we have the final say. Thankfully, we do not have the final say, but our Father does, and He knows the matters of the heart better than anyone. Whenever we place punishment/ guilt amongst ourselves and others even after we accept Christ then we are in essence placing punishment/guilt amongst the Holy Spirit dwelling within us and others. For we are made anew once we accept Christ, we are not who we once were in the past. So we cannot condemn ourselves for who we were in the past. None of the apostles who wrote these books in the Bible did so either. The author of Romans:Paul was a murderer. He was murdering fellow Christ followers.  Yet, God transformed his life and the Holy Spirit dwelling within him wrote this verse! God even calls himself the God of Issac, God of Jacob, God of Abraham to reveal how much He loves his people in spite of their past mistakes! This lineage were all deceivers, but God still says He is the God of all of them to show that He loves their brokenness and through Him they became anew WHOLE person. They went from BROKEN            To WHOLE through HIM!

Father, thank you for loving us in spite of our flaws! Thank you for loving us even we are hard on ourselves and others. God, help us to view ourselves the way you view us! Help us to see things the way you see things! Open our hearts so we can listen, love, and cherish ourselves and others the way you do ! Help us to never look in hindsight! Move us to continue to have a desire to be in your presence! For if we focus on being in your presence then we will not dwell on the past! For we know that dwelling in the past cause us to be depressed and dwelling on the future causes us to be anxious but focusing on the present is the ultimate gift since you are in the present. Father, if we are reflecting on the past help us to track your faithfulness during that time and help us to use our testimony to minister to others. Please allow us to remember the keys to the door of preventing guilt: knowing/accepting that we did the best we could with the knowledge we had at the time, and that we made the decision with a pure heart (good intentions). Thank you so much for not defining us by what we do or did but who you are! In Jesus name. Amen.
