Waiting On The Lord
Share
Good Afternoon beloved 🫂,
“Yet those who wait on the Lord will gain a new strength, they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.” Isaiah 40:31
I find myself constantly asking God for something that He promised me. He continues to tell me to wait. Waiting on the Lord can be difficult at times because we are so used to receiving things so quickly. We receive packages from Amazon same day or even next day! Let’s face it! We live in a society where things come fast 💨 However, we must remember that usually when things come fast then they do not last. Whatever God is telling you to wait for remember that He is eternal, and He wants it to be an everlasting gift for you. In the waiting season, God is teaching us to grow closer to Him! For if we instantly received what we wanted then would we interact with God as much? Would we even have a need for God if we always received what we wanted/desired/needed? This is the perfect time to continuously seek His heart and face! Get to know the Father! Draw near to Him so that you can become more like Him. The more you draw near to Him the more you will know who He truly is, and the more you will know who you truly are. During this waiting season, He wants you to grow your faith! Practice perseverance! Also, understand that waiting on God causes you to gain a new strength because it causes you to rely on the source! The source is our strength! Wherever we feel weak, Gods strength always prevail! W. A. I. T. is W. illingly A.dvancing I.t T.owards God! While you are waiting continue to get to know the Father, praise Him in advance for fulfilling His promises, and continue to give yourself grace! Heavenly Father, we thank you for making your grace sufficient for our weaknesses! We love that we do not have to rely on our own strength but yours! We ask that you continue to move our hearts to grow closer to you! Please move us to focus on your heart, face, and word in this waiting season! Help us to remember that the things that you have for us is even better than what we can imagine! Help us to remember to trust you! Help us to remember that you have unchanging hands! You do not change on us! You practice integrity and fulfill all of your promises. We thank you for allowing us to experience all the opportunities, gifts, and promises that you have fulfilled and will fulfill. In Jesus name. Amen. 🙏🏽
