Lord Willing

Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.”

Good Afternoon Honey 🍯,

What do you consider evil ? Is it murder? Adultery? Lying? Stealing? Yes, those are all evil things,but the Lord says boasting is evil too. We boast by saying we will do something tomorrow without saying Lord willing. For we are not guaranteed tomorrow, which is why we should treat each day as a gift. We shall cherish each and every moment even when it seems hard . However, in those times we shall remember that nothing is too hard for our God, which this leads to another reason why we should not delay things until tomorrow. Procrastination not only reveals lack of faith, but a sense of entitlement. When we delay things we are saying to God that we are entitled to more time. For time is a gift to us. In essence, everything is a gift to us. If we keep this in mind then it decreases our chances of living in pride and shifts us to living in a state of gratitude, joy, peace and faithfulness. For if we do say we have any plans for tomorrow or the following week let’s honor our Father by saying Lord willing to show Him our gratitude and willing desire to serve Him. Father, we thank you for being so gracious to us! Thank you for granting us another day! And in your will may you please grant us another day! Thank you for willingly giving us this life to praise your Holy name. Thank you for your kindness. We ask that you continue to move our hearts to having a desire to continue to praise you in each area of our lives. May our lives glorify your name and kingdom for all of our days. May we continue to be in awe over your wonderful creation and character. In Jesus name. Amen. 🙏🏽
