Focus On The Present!

Good Morning Children of God 👸🏽🤴🏽🫅,

“Do not cling to the events of the past or what happened long ago. Wait- for this new thing I am going to do. It is already happening now. I will create a path for you in the wilderness. I will bring you streams of water there. “ Isaiah 43:18-19.

We tend to dwell on the past because of its familiarity. The past brought familiar events, circumstances, situations, and patterns. The familiar is what we tend to focus on!  We dwell on the familiar to protect ourselves! When we conduct this behavior then we are not allowing the Holy Spirit to infiltrate us! We are allowing our flesh to be our protector which is limited. For the flesh is weak but the Holy Spirit has unlimited divine power from our God. Why do we need to protect ourselves if God is our protector? Why focus on the familiar if our God is infamous for doing the unfamiliar? God never does the same thing twice! God loves to outdo our limited minds to show He is God! Also, dwelling on the past makes you miss out on the present! For the present is a gift! It is a gift because our God is omnipresent. If we do not focus on the present then we miss out on the opportunity to be in His presence! For God does not want us to dwell in the past unless we are tracking His faithfulness! Our dwelling place should be in the present since He is there!  Wait for this new thing I am going to do says God. The Father is always working and so am I says Jesus Christ! Therefore, our Father is working in the now! Your faith should be in the NOW! The PRESENT! 💝 Father, we thank you for always being in the present! You are always there for when we need you! Thank you for giving us this gift of grace through faith! We are so undeserving but you give it to us anyway! If we do dwell on the past may we do it to only track your faithfulness and use it to minister to others! Please allow us to remember that the key to developing the fruits of the spirit is being in your presence! May we continue to have a desire to be in your presence more! Please continue to grow our faith! We know that your ways are higher than our ways and your thoughts are higher than our thoughts! We thank you for this ABBA! May we continue to allow you to be God and we follow! We are aware that we want to control because it is in our nature but we must trust that you are constantly working! You are always working together for our good and we thank you for this! We thank you for always working for us! May we allow you to move us to glorify your name. In Jesus name. Amen. 🙏🏽
