Choose the Word Over Your Feelings

Proverbs 3:5- 6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and your paths will be made straight. 

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I am noticing that some of you are allowing your feelings to dictate your actions. Some of you are even allowing others actions to dictate your feelings, which ultimately dictates your actions. We CANNOT allow our feelings to drown Gods word (voice). When we allow these behaviors to happen we are saying that our voice is more important than Gods. We are making our feelings our GOD. Do you wish to have your feelings be your God? Your feelings constantly change. Do you wish to have a sandy foundation? Or do you wish to have a firm foundation? Do you wish to display love to your fellow brethren? Or do you wish to display insecurities ? As followers of Christ we must be cautious of our behaviors/patterns! For we may be the only light that a person has ever seen! We have a mission to create disciples!?!! Do you think we will be able to create disciples if we allow our feelings to dictate us? Most importantly, if you allow your feelings to override the word then it will steal you from your peace, joy, and eventually it will take away all of the fruits of the spirits from you! Every person desires the fruits of the spirit even those who do not even know the Father. Let your spirit override your flesh! For your flesh is temporary, but your spirit is eternal.  Father, we ask that you ingrain the word in all of our hearts. Please allow us to choose the word over our feelings! Please allow us to not compare ourselves to others! For comparison can lead us down the road to jealousy. Please let us remember that we are worthy in your eyes, which that is all that truly matters. For no one else opinion matters more than how you view us, and please continue to remind us of this.  For no one’s actions can dictate how you view us. You are the only thing that define us and Lord we thank you for that. For if you did not define us then we will be anxious, depressed, insecure, lonely, unworthy, rejected, and etc. For we have to be firm in our identity in YOU or else the world will define us, and please continue to remind us of this! Lord we thank you for defining us by your good works and character. We ask that you continue transform our hearts to be more like you. And for those who feel rejected in this life will be accepted into the next life. Remind them that they are accepted by you! For this is all that matters! In Jesus name. Amen. 🙏🏽
